Sometimes, you will receive moments like you did through the eyes of the father/brother/sister/mother of the narcissist. The compassion that was conveyed to you through your ex-husband's father speaks volumes of his sorrow and grief at what his son COULD have been and what he might have experienced with such a wonderful person as you. I understand the dynamics of a narcissist. My mother represents that small percentage in population that everyone should have absolutely nothing to do with.
